In an early 2024 exchange, we had the pleasure to welcome #rolemodel Lene Kohl, Partner at Osborne Clarke and WIL Fellow, in conversation with #youngtalent Vibha Venkatesh.

Lene began her career journey after finishing high school in Rome and deciding to pursue law. Growing up bilingually in Hamburg and Rome, she moved to Berlin for university, where she discovered her passion for law through her love of language and her experiences during her legal training. Her path included various stages, from working at a civil court to joining different law firms, eventually becoming a Partner at Osborne Clarke.

Vibha, 21 years old and a law student aspiring to enter the legal profession, engaged with Lene to understand the nuances of a legal career. During their conversation, Lene shared insights on the importance of being authentic, navigating gender-related challenges in the workplace, and maintaining a work-life balance while pursuing personal passions. She emphasised the significance of resilience and adaptability in one’s career.
