Biography
Kenia Denoyés is an accomplished international general counsel with over 22 years of experience, including 16 years as General Counsel for global corporations. She has held key leadership positions at multinational companies such as JCDecaux, Hanesbrands Inc., DIM, and Avolta (formerly Dufry), leading complex legal departments across multiple jurisdictions. Kenia’s expertise spans corporate governance, commercial transactions, labor law, compliance, and litigation, particularly in B2B and B2C sectors, consumer goods, industrial operations, and medical devices.
A solutions-driven professional, Kenia has been instrumental in leading several high-impact projects, including the carve-out and sale of DIM, integration of DBApparel and Champion Europe into Hanesbrands Inc., and responding to major crises like cyber-attacks and governmental investigations. She firmly believes that the strategic use of law is a tool to unlock a company’s potential, challenging the perception that legal departments are obstacles. Her leadership style focuses on empowering her teams and fostering collaboration across departments and geographies.
Kenia’s career has spanned Central America, Brazil, France, and Switzerland, where she has earned a reputation for adaptability and insight in multijurisdictional environments. Fluent in English, French, and Spanish, she approaches each challenge with a blend of compassion and tenacity—qualities that have earned her multiple recognitions, including being named one of the 45 remarkable women lawyers under 45 in El Salvador, her country of origin. Her personal life is just as dynamic as her professional one, as she is a dedicated mother to Gabriel, her thoughtful and curious 10-year-old.
