Biography
As a lawyer with a degree from Stockholm University, she started her carrier as Swedbank, one of
Sweden’s four largest banks, as a transaction lawyer. Anna Maria went further to the energy sector and
Vattenfall where she worked with energy trading and regulatory implementation
Having been passionate for banking since the period at Swedbank, and with a newly awakened interest
for data protection and information security, she returned to Swedbank for an opportunity to work with
the GDPR implementation. After being promoted to a role as responsible for legal privacy matters on
Group level and later to the role of Group DPO, she ignited a full transformation of the bank’s privacy
program.
Anna Maria left Swedbank in 2019 and took up a new position as Nordic Data Protection Officer at
Capgemini. She is deeply engaged in making privacy matters understandable, both in her role as internal DPO and as a teacher at a Stockholm-based privacy academy.
Anna Maria has two sons and is an experienced and engaged Scout Leader and amateur baker.
