Biography
Aroussia chose to become a manager two years after joining Orange as a storage and backup infrastructure architect in a corporate team. After an experience in project management with 23 affiliates of Orange in Europe and EMEA (Egypt, Ivory Coast, Botswana, Poland, …), she chose to take a 10 expert management. Her team was based in France and Romania. She managed to help experts develop new skills to meet the challenges of introducing new technologies in Orange datacenters and work with experts in Orange'affiliates to produce common engineering rules to optimise infrastructures.
During this first management experience, Aroussia led change by building strong partnerships between experts in her team and operations teams in order to make their work easier and facilitate the adoption of new storage technologies meeting Orange affiliates' needs.
After four years, she decided to take charge of a bigger expert team of 24 people with strong challenges (complex social context, Reskilling in Open source databases,…).
This important management experience helped her gain more leadership skills and adopt a position of coach to help her team master and adopt new work methodologies (agile mindset, agile rituals, …).
She chose to work in IT because, as an engineer, she was passionate about computer science and how machines can improve peoples's lives and companies their business. She believes data is the 21st century's oil.
