Biography
Tara has over 30 years’ experience working in technology and operations in a major financial institution. She is currently based in Paris where she runs teams across four countries whose focus is on governance and oversight of technology operations and outsourcing to ensure that the firms’ regulatory obligations are met.
She started her career as an application developer in Frankfurt before moving into Global Markets Operations. Later she moved to Paris and held various management positions in technology and operations. A keen traveller, Tara has been able to combine work and pleasure with assignments as varied as Tokyo and Riyadh, Mexico and Moscow.
Tara has been a keen advocate for Diversity and Inclusion, mentoring and coaching throughout her career. She has been a part of programmes reaching out to school children to encourage an interest in technology, through to Veterans of the armed forces looking for experience after completing their service.
Tara has a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Philosophy from King’s College London, a Master of Science in Information Technology from Aberdeen University and a M.Phil in Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Synovial Fluid from Exeter University.
