Iryna Avramenko is a dynamic, goal-oriented international leader with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. After graduating as a medical doctor, she made the difficult decision not to continue practicing medicine due to the challenging economic situation in her country at that time and sought opportunities in the pharmaceutical industry. For the past 18 years, Iryna has worked at Alcon in various positions of increasing responsibility across nearly 20 markets, bringing innovative products and technologies to eye care professionals and consumers.
Passionate about people, Iryna values open and transparent communication and effective collaboration. In recent years, Iryna gained invaluable experience leading an organization during a significant conflict in modern history, particularly amidst the ongoing war in Ukraine. The skills she developed while navigating complex market environments, restructuring, and addressing war-related challenges are unparalleled and cannot be learned from books. Furthermore, the role of women in such situations is immeasurable, both in daily life and on a global scale.
