Biography
Klara has extensive experience working with sustainability across national and
international institutions, as well as in the private sector. Her primary focus is
sustainable finance and investment strategy and management; she also has experience
working with circular economy policy, climate accounting, and transition plans for
companies.
Currently, Klara works for the European Commission, DG Environment on sustainable
finance policy and environmental investment priorities for public funding. Before this,
she worked for a sustainability-focused consultancy and investment company, advising
a broad range of companies on developing and executing data-informed sustainability
strategies. She also worked with due diligence, as well as the development of pre-seed
and seed start-ups. Prior to this, she worked for the Danish Ministry of Environment with
the development of the Danish climate agreement for the waste sector and circular
economy.
Klara holds two Master’s Degrees: one in Economics from Barcelona Graduate School of
Economics, and one International Business and Politics from Copenhagen Business
School.
A globally-minded Dane, Klara has studied and worked in a number of countries,
including Argentina, Brazil, Spain and now Belgium, where she lives with her partner.
