Biography
Graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (1978).
She currently chairs the think tank Association Europe-Finances-Régulations (AEFR), is a member of te ECB's Audit Committee and Ethic Committee, and a member of the Climate and sustainable finance Committee of the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF)
Member of the Franco-German expert group on EU institutional reform (2023).
Chair of the orchestra Les Forces Majeures.
Member of the European Parliament for 25 years (1994-2019) where she chaired the ECON and EMPL committees. Rapporteur for the Special Committee on the financial, economic and social crisis (CRIS) and member of the Conventions on the Charter and on the draft Constitution.
Between 2001 and 2008 she was also elected to Sèvres town council.
She worked from 1981 to 1994 as administrator in the French National Assembly and as an advisor for international and European affairs to the Speaker.
Author of several publications , mainly on economic governance.
