Biography
Julia works on sustainability, policy and regulatory issues at the French house CHANEL, covering topics such as the European Green Deal, the French Circular Economy law and consumer information display. She won the 2022 CHANEL Zero Plastics Hackathon. Since then, she has been working on its implementation alongside her role in Public Affairs.
Prior to joining CHANEL, Julia worked for Ambassador Eisen in Washington DC as part of his research team, notably working on the publication of his historical novel and memoir “The Last Palace, Europe's Turbulent Century in Five Lives and One Legendary House.
She holds a degree in International Relations from King’s College London and Sciences Po Paris, where she specialized in Middle Eastern politics and the role of feminism(s) in the 1979 Iranian Revolution. As part of her research on how and why revolutions occur, she moved to Beijing in 2017 to conduct on the ground research of China’s communist revolution while working part-time for an art consultancy firm.
