Biography
Michaela Ben Amara is Business Development & Marketing Manager at Osborne Clarke in Belgium. She has almost 10 years of business development and marketing experience in the legal industry. She advises on a wide range of BD and marketing related matters, from developing the firm strategy and vision, implementing marketing & PR programmes and campaigns to key account management and bidsprocess. Michaela is deeply committed to people's development and a few of the ways that she has invested in this are by offering mentoring, coordinating professional coaching and developing training curriculum on BD & marketing skills. Michaela coordinates Osborne Clarke's strategy of "Transformation Drivers" to make decarbonisation, digitalisation and urban dynamics better understood and engaged with as cornerstones of the future of business.

Michaela sits on our Diversity & Inclusion and CSR Committees. She co-designed the D&I toolkit for the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium where she is an active member of their membership committee. She also represents Osborne Clarke in the Legal Diversity & Inclusion Alliance, a network formed of law firms in the Brussels market. Lastly, she is a volunteer at Women in Innovation.

She has developed a large network among the Brussels BD professionals via various platforms including the Pro-Bono roundtable in Belgium, the Brussels Binder and BD network of law firms practising Belgian law.

Michaela previously worked for international law firms in Brussels and Prague. She was awarded an LLM in European Commercial law in the Netherlands and a BA (Hons) in Comparative Law by University of Wales.
