Biography
Rita brings over 14 years of experience as investment professional in Venture Capital and Alternative Asset Management Industry, involved in both equity direct investments, mainly in seed projects and start-up companies, and in fund of funds investments, i.e. the set-up and structuring of venture capital funds, with particular focus on technology transfer and deep tech investment vehicles.
She started her career in Vertis SGR, an asset management company specialised in venture capital investments in start-ups and SMEs, first as Investment Analyst and then as Investment Associate, where she dealt with direct investments, as well as in mentorship and business acceleration activities.
In 2016 Rita joined CDP S.p.A., the national promotional bank of Italy, as Investment Manager of funds investments team, promoting and structuring the set-up of venture capital and technology transfer funds, also in partnership with European Investment Fund.
In 2020, Rita moved to CDP Venture Capital SGR, CDP’s venture capital asset management company, as Senior Investment Manager of Technology Transfer Fund of Funds. She was promoted to Partner of Technology Transfer Fund of Funds in 2024.
Her mission is to structure, set up, signing and monitoring of venture capital funds, with particular focus on technology transfer and deep tech vehicles, to boost and develop Italian market and foster innovation and tech transfer processes - throughout the birth of deep tech startups - among all the suitable stakeholders involved in the process.
She holds a Master of Science in Economics from University of Naples Federico II and a Master's Degree in Advanced Finance from IPE Business School, WIL Fellow - European Network for Women in Leadership from 2022.
Rita is passionate about geopolitics, technologies, sport and travelling.
