Biography
An experienced leader in information technology, with an international Executive MBA and postgraduate qualifications in cybersecurity (from Harvard and MIT) and leadership (Oxford). Currently serving as Head of the IT Unit at the European Defence Agency, Rosaria Giovannelli has extensive experience in strategic planning and large-scale digital transformations to support diverse business demands in challenging and fast-growing start-ups and in international contexts.
With more than 25 years of experience delivering modern digital systems and over ten years in cloud and cybersecurity, she has a proven track record of success in developing and implementing technology solutions that facilitate corporate strategic objectives using innovative technologies (Cloud, AI, Edge, IoT, Biometrics).
A leader capable of building, developing, and motivating high-performing teams while building the groundwork to enable the growth of future leaders.
Rosaria is principal advisor to executive management and Board of Directors. She chairs committees, advisory boards, task forces, and cross-institutional working groups.
She is actively involved in mentorship activities for women. She is a Member of the European Women on Board (EWOB), aiming at a more diverse and inclusive boards of directors.
