Biography
I am Emilie Marien, HR Manager at Osborne Clarke Belgium. I hold a Master's Degree in Law from KU Leuven, and an LL.M. in Social Law from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, these being the strong foundation for my current role.
As an HR Manager at OC Belgium, I am responsible for all HR processes, including recruitment, compensation and benefits, performance management and career development, for a team of over 40 lawyers and 16 business support colleagues. I work together in close collaboration with other OC offices in different countries, as OC Belgium is part of an international structure.
I have the privilege of leading the OC Belgium Diversity and Inclusion committee, where I collaborate with other committee members to drive positive change and to create an environment where everyone feels valued.
Prior to my current position, I worked as an Account Manager servicing clients to optimize their workforce efficiency through tailored solutions. My tenure at Vokans provided me with valuable insights into human resource development and a commitment to sustainable client partnerships.
Before this role, I served as a Legal Consultant in the Global Employer Services department of Deloitte Belgium. I was a member of Deloitte's Centre of Expertise, specializing in International, European, and Belgian labour and social security law. My responsibilities included advising on local and cross-border employment matters, providing assistance on questions with respect to labour law, salary issues, benefits, and contributing to the Brexit Readiness Centre.
