Nafisa Raihana

Nafisa Raihana is a mathematician and PhD researcher at the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany's National Metrology Institute, where her research focuses on computational metabolomics and proteomics. Beyond her academic work, she is actively engaged in research and advocacy concerning women's rights, gender equality, and political participation. She has led quantitative research examining technology-facilitated gender-based violence against politically active women in Bangladesh, using computational and data-driven approaches to investigate online harassment and gender-based discrimination. Through her involvement with WIL, she hopes to contribute to women's empowerment, inclusive leadership, and evidence-based initiatives that promote equal opportunities for women.
