Connecting, inspiring and empowering women to lead the way

Events & Communications Coordinator

Position: Events & Communications Coordinator (CDI)

Background:

The European Network for Women in Leadership (WIL Europe) is a Europe-wide non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting and advancing the professional and social interests of women in leadership positions and aspiring female leaders from different sectors across Europe.

Our mission is to connect, inspire and empower women to lead the way, by providing a space to meet, network, grow, and identify opportunities and ideas beyond their immediate environments.

We focus on international, local and online events, including those with key political and business leaders; peer-to-peer networking; and the Women Talent Pool leadership programme for emerging female leaders.

A key part of our mission is communicating our work—what we do, how, and for whom—via our website, newsletters, social media, and events. In the coming months, we aim to develop our communications and expand event operations, seeking a motivated Events & Communications Coordinator (CDI) to lead these efforts with our COO.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a proactive Events & Communications Coordinator to help lead communications and event operations. Working closely with the COO, you will plan and execute events, manage communications, and boost our brand’s visibility and engagement.

This role offers hands-on experience in strategic and operational communications and event management.

You will work in a small, international team, undertaking the following activities:

• Coordinating with partners, speakers, and vendors
• Ensuring smooth event operations (registration, venue setup, tech support, feedback)
• Assisting with post-event reports and feedback

Communications (50%)

We’re implementing a new communications strategy, and we’re looking for someone who can take the lead in putting it into action, with a focus on increasing our reach, engagement, and visibility across platforms.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the planning, drafting, and scheduling of content across social media, newsletters, and our website
  • Creating impactful communication materials (visuals, presentations, brochures, etc.)
  • Ensuring a consistent tone of voice and visual identity across all external and internal channels
  • Supporting internal communications with the network
  • Tracking performance (social media, email campaigns, etc.) and proposing improvements based on insights and analytics

What you will get from us:

  • A dynamic and supportive environment with real responsibilities
  • Networking opportunities through events
  • Direct interaction with a network of senior-level women from different EU countries, as well as other high-level policymakers
  • Increased knowledge and understanding of European institutions and policies in diverse areas, including digital transition, sustainable development, economy, and finance
  • Experience in event management
  • Support from a full-time intern to assist with communications and event logistics
  • A permanent role in a growing and mission-driven organisation

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of experience in Communications and Event Management
  • Experience with social media management
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, as well as attention to detail
  • Excellent writing skills and command of English; knowledge of French is an asset
  • Creativity and the ability to come up with new ideas
  • Knowledge and experience in web content-producing software (e.g. InDesign, Canva)
